SMS Consent & Opt-In Policy

Van Tech Systems LLC ("Van Tech") provides an AI-powered receptionist and business automation platform for home service businesses. As part of the platform, automated SMS messages — including appointment reminders, booking confirmations, and service updates — may be sent to end consumers on behalf of the businesses that use our platform. All recipients must explicitly opt in before receiving any messages. No messages are sent without prior consent.

Supported Opt-In Methods

Van Tech supports the following methods of obtaining explicit SMS consent from end consumers:

1. Web Form Opt-In

When a customer books an appointment or submits an inquiry through a Van Tech-powered booking page or website, they are presented with a clearly labeled, unchecked consent checkbox (as shown in the example above). The customer must actively check the box to consent to receiving SMS messages. The form cannot be submitted without this explicit action. Consent records are stored with a timestamp and the exact language shown to the customer.

2. Verbal Opt-In (AI Receptionist)

When a customer calls a business using Van Tech's AI receptionist, the AI agent informs the caller that appointment confirmations and reminders may be sent via text message and asks for verbal confirmation. The customer's verbal consent is captured in the recorded and transcribed call log. Consent is only considered granted if the caller explicitly agrees. The call recording and transcript serve as the consent record.

Consumer Rights

All SMS recipients have the following rights:

  • Unsubscribe: Reply STOP to any message to immediately unsubscribe from all future SMS from that business. Unsubscribe requests are processed instantly and automatically.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any message to receive support contact information for the sending business and Van Tech Systems.
  • Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on service interactions (e.g., appointment bookings, reminders, follow-ups). Messages are only sent in connection with active service engagements.
  • Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • No sharing: SMS consent is granted on a per-business basis and is never shared, sold, or transferred to third parties. Each business using Van Tech maintains its own independent consent records.

Types of Messages Sent

Messages sent through the Van Tech platform on behalf of home service businesses include:

  • Appointment booking confirmations
  • Appointment reminder notifications
  • Service follow-up messages
  • Review request messages (post-service)
  • Schedule change or cancellation notifications

All messages are transactional in nature and directly related to the customer's interaction with the business. No marketing or promotional messages are sent without separate, explicit consent.

TCPA Compliance

This SMS consent program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA Short Code Monitoring guidelines. Businesses using Van Tech are required to obtain prior express written consent from all SMS recipients before enabling automated messaging through the platform.

Carriers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc.) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service is subject to carrier network availability.

SMS consent is only valid for recipients aged 18 and older.

Alternative Ways to Opt Out

If you are unable to text STOP, you may also opt out by contacting us at support@vantechsystem.com or calling (720) 309-1499. Please include the phone number you wish to opt out and the business name, and we will process your request within 48 hours.
